１ CDを買った話
ということで、買おうと思っていたCDをまとめて買った。
Brad Mehldau "Live in Marciac"
随分前に出ていて、アマゾンで買うか、タワレコで買うか、迷っていて買いそびれていた。
CD２枚とDVD１枚のアルバム。
ソロのライブ盤ということらしい。そりゃいいに決まっている。
また新しいバージョンの"Exit Music(for a Film)"があって良かった。
やっぱりこういうillな感じのメルドーは良い。

２ 音楽の話をした話
現在の職場のような場所で、目の前に座っているTさんと、音楽の話をした。
この人とは、以前、jazzの話をしたことがあって、ともにメルドー好きで盛り上がった。
ブラッド・メルドー好きなら、間違いない。
で、最近の音楽聴いてないね、なんて話をしていた。
前日、姉のfacebookでRadwimpsの話題を見かけたので、
ー最近だと、Radwimpsとか聴きますよ。
と言ったら、
ーRadwimpsて、もう最近でもないでしょ。
と言われた。
確かに。
Radwimpsを初めて聴いたとき、その余りにストレートすぎる歌詞がちょっと鼻についた気がしたけれど、最近はこれはこれでいいなあ、と思う。
ストレートに、というのも、良さがある。
ストレートながらも、作り込んでいる歌詞も良い。
例えば、"マニフェスト"なんかは、
「政治と愛というものの、ともに正義ーこれ自体の定義は問題となり得るところであるが、等しいものを等しく扱うという意味で捉えるーと相反する性質を持つ、という側面を結びつけた歌詞で、また、ポピュリズムの暴力性を指摘するものであって...」
なんて解釈を容易に引き出せるところが、鼻につくところでもあるし、良さでもある。
例えば『蟲師』のようなテーマの解りやすさのような。
まあ、でも、演奏うまいし。いいよね。
みたいな。
あと、ZAZEN BOYSの４枚目のアルバムやっぱりいいよね、なんて話も。
Tさんは自身でもドラムを叩くらしく、アヒト・イナザワ脱退後のドラマー、松下敦が好きらしい。

今度やるキリンジのライブ行きたいねえ、なんて話も。
法律の話なんかより、おもろいからね。
